چکیده
The review summarizes different bioinformatics tools used in studying the degradation of various xenobiotic compounds. Databases and Pathway Prediction Systems are key involved biodegradation. Several bio-degradative databases including EAWAG-BBD (Biocatalysis/Biodegradation Database), Plastics Microbial Biodegradation Database, ONDB (Organonitrogen Degradation Food risk component database (Food database, Aromadeg (Aromatic hydrocarbon Degrading OxDBase (A Biodegradative oxygenases), RHObase (ring-hydroxylating oxygenase database) have been developed for biodegradation bioremediation studies. Users can use pathway prediction systems to predict whose has never reported literature. This will help design a strategy chemicals therefore, also improved process chemicals.

Biodegradation of Xenobiotic Compounds: An Overview
The continuous accumulation of recalcitrant xenobiotic compounds into the ecosystem released from various sources caused a serious global concern. Xenobiotics compounds are carcinogenic, mutagenic, causing teratogenic effect and persist over a long period of time in the environment. Therefore there is an urgent need for the detoxification of these compounds. Biodegradation is a technique that e...
متن کاملGlycosylation and Bioinformatics: current status for glycosylation prediction tools
Glycosylation is an important coand post-translational modification involved in a variety of critical biological processes. The development of computational algorithms for protein glycosylation prediction has been propelled in the latest years. The localization of potential glycosylated sites facilitates the rational alteration of glycosylation-related functions in cells. This manuscript gives ...
متن کاملAdaptation to and biodegradation of xenobiotic compounds by microbial communities from a pristine aquifer.
The ability of subsurface microbial communities to adapt to the biodegradation of xenobiotic compounds was examined in aquifer solids samples from a pristine aquifer. An increase in the rates of mineralization of radiolabeled substrates with exposure was used as an indication of adaptation. For some compounds, such as chlorobenzene and 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene, slight mineralization was observed ...
متن کاملBiodegradation of nitroaromatic compounds.
Nitroaromatic compounds are released into the biosphere almost exclusively from anthropogenic sources. Some compounds are produced by incomplete combustion of fossil fuels; others are used as synthetic intermediates, dyes, pesticides, and explosives. Recent research revealed a number of microbial systems capable of transforming or biodegrading nitroaromatic compounds. Anaerobic bacteria can red...
متن کاملDiversity of Ligninolytic Enzymes and Their Genes in Strains of the Genus Ganoderma: Applicable for Biodegradation of Xenobiotic Compounds?
White-rot fungi (WRF) and their ligninolytic enzymes (laccases and peroxidases) are considered promising biotechnological tools to remove lignin related Persistent Organic Pollutants from industrial wastewaters and contaminated ecosystems. A high diversity of the genus Ganoderma has been reported in Cuba; in spite of this, the diversity of ligninolytic enzymes and their genes remained unexplore...
